This report reviews regulatory updates in March for life insurance companies. We include items published by the European Supervisor Authorities (ESAs), European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA), and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). For March, regulatory items include: 

• EIOPA publishes results from its yearly study on the modelling of market and credit risk, and publishes its Q&A on regulation.
• EIOPA issues recommendations from the 2021 Insurance Stress Test
• The FCA says it will consult on the use of “side-pockets” for retail funds with exposure to sanctioned and suspended Russian assets
• ESAs warn consumers on the risks of crypto-assets
