Tomomi Takeshima is a member of the team providing medical economic assessments for pharmaceutical companies in Japan.

Experience
Tomomi joined Milliman in September 2015 as a researcher in the Japan Healthcare and Data Analytics Practice.
Prior to joining Milliman, she conducted biochemical research in an academic setting and worked in corporate research and development and quality assurance.
Her work achievements include:
- Research into the biochemical mechanism of carbohydrate metabolism in the liver at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, USA
- Research and development of novel adsorption materials and nanomaterials using DNA extracted from salmon milt at a health food material company in Japan
- Quality control management at a health food material company in Japan
Tomomi has presented her work at domestic and international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. She has also served as a peer reviewer for academic journals.
