Durand Oliver joined Milliman in 2021 as the Head of Distribution for Milliman (Australia). Durand is responsible for building awareness of the Milliman brand across the Australian, retail, financial advice market through the distribution and execution of the Milliman SmartShield Series of Managed Accounts.
Leveraging Milliman’s risk management expertise, Durand and his team are dedicated in promoting the SmartShield portfolios which have been designed to shield investors from market risk, giving clients more confidence and flexibility than ever before.

Durand has over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, having worked for some of Australia's leading insurance providers and plaforms, including Aviva, netwealth, HUB24, and more recently, Xplore Wealth.
For the last decade, Durand has contributed to the rise of platforms in the retail advice market, bringing greater awareness of brands like netwealth and HUB24 to the forefront of the financial services industry.
Throughout his career, Durand has forged strong partnerships with advice practices and developed a sound knowledge in the platform and managed account space. His passion for the industry has lead him to deliver strong results during times of change.
